Audition Advice

So, I've got auditions coming up for Berklee and The University of Belmont and I was looking for some feedback on the songs that I'm choosing. I'm going to play the bass part to Bernadette by Jamerson for both auditions, and I'm also going to play the jazz/blues tune Chitlins Con Carne for Belmont.

I'm looking for what anyone has to say on these songs. I'm really in the dark here and I figured they were good songs, so anyone who goes to either school, auditioned at either school or has anything to say, it would be greatly appreciated.

One of my concerns is if picking a Jamerson song is good. I'm afraid that the judges have heard all of his stuff over and over.

Thanks
