Sorry, I searched and searched but couldn't find the exact answer I was looking for. Here's my question:

How good is the Avatar 210 neo at handling a 5 string?:confused:

I've downsized my rig (I've gotten rid of my 4x10) because I was sick of carrying it and want to replace it with the 210. Now the reason for the 210 is just to add more punch and clarity to my 1x15 so I'd really just think of it as an extension cab but... how well would it work by itself? Help, the money is burning a hole in my pocket!!!!:help:

That's ultimately what I'm thinking. I'd use the 210 in conjunction with my 1x15 for larger venues. I'm just looking for reassurance that if I HAD to play a show with my Warwick 5 string, my svt3-pro pumping 275 watts of power in to the 8 ohm 210 at near full volume for an hour set, I'd be happy.

I wouldn't expect that. I guess I should make this clear, I don't believe (at least now) that a 2x10 can compare to a 4x10. And I know the the bigger/more speakers you have the more air you can push. Further more, my playing is very finger funk/ blues-rock bassed anyway so my 5r never goes lower than D. I'm just looking for clarity (pun intended).

I have the 210, 212, and two 410s. I will often use the 210 by itself on gigs. I've been filling in with a seven piece band that has a Hammond player. Not too much room left for anything but the 210. I only play 5 string and have never had any problem whatsoever. I use the Thunderfunk. If anyone is having problems with the 210, I wouldn't think it is the cabinet, or they got a lemon.

Yep, just talked to him! Let me say again, I'm not expecting an 8x10 svt/fridge classic re-issue sound. I want clarity and punch to go with the nice solid bottom end of my 1x15 but it would be nice to know that for smaller bar gigs (where space is limited aka standing in front of the bathrooms) I have the option to use just the 210 and feel confident in my sound.
