Backing Tracks?

Hello there,

Im having a lot of problems with finding backing tracks which i can play along to and ive got some auditions coming up soon.

Ive been looking for stuff like ' could you be loved' by bob marley.

Does anyone know of any good bass backing track sites? or even where i could find that particular track.

I suggest EQ'ing the bass out.

Also, be sure and find out what key the band plays each song in so you're not blindsided at the audition.

I'd also ask each band for mp3 of each song they want you to play, hopefully they have a recording from a previous gig or rehearsal. Or maybe they have a master CD of all their tunes. It'll also let you know how organized each band is if they don't have mp3's or charts available.

I use the TASCAM MP-BT1 which allows the bass the be turned down in the actual song so that I can play over it.
There are also a few sites out there that specifically sell karaoke music tracks, but I don't think that's really going to do you much good for bass. You'd still need to mix the bass out of the track.
Training CD (the kind that usually come with books) are set up that way, but I don't know if you can find the specific song you're looking for that way. I've used alot of Ed Friedland's bass books and the tracks he put on the CDs are pretty helpful, IMO.
