Hi, I was hoping someone might have a tab for Bad Company by ffdp. I need to learn this song fast and I just need a little direction. Can't tell exactly what the bass is doing just listening. Thanks

Not really looking for a discussion about how bad ffdp is. I know plenty can't stomach them, I happen to like them. Is bad company a great cover, no, but drunk people at the bar like it just fine. Totally agree bad company was a kick ass band, I'll try listening to the original to get some ideas. Just hoping someone might have a shortcut.
Drunk people also could care less what you play on the bass.
For this song, I know it uses the low B string a bunch and has three chords. Other than the Duh-Duh-DUHHHH part the rest doesn't matter on the F5DP version.
Or get the back issue of GW, they had a tab for it.
Learn the original instead of that incredibly horrible cover. When I say incredibly horrible, I'm being nice.
I really don't understand all the hate. Lol. Is it really THAT bad? Maybe I'm just not as critical as I should be....

It wouldn't be that bad if it were an original song- but when you change up an iconic song that is very well known, do it in a weird way like they did, many will hate it. ANd many already hate F5DP to begin with apparently.
It would be like if I did a reggae version of Girls, Girls Girls, by Motley Crue... probably would be hated on... (then again maybe that isn't a bad idea...)

For a cool cover check out The Cult's version of Born to Be Wild off Electric.
They did it their way and IMO it works well. I still like the original better but theirs is good as well.

No. Just no on all of it. In fact it made them even more famous for doing it... and it was very well done... open your ears and close your hate hole.

I can't think of a better place to get your direction than from the original.

Nope not an opinion... the song made them more famous... their sales went up and so did their radio popularity... it isn't up for debate because its a fact not an opinion. As far as gettin it from the original.. its a completely different tuning. so it would be difficult to learn their cover from the original.

I came here for the bass tab only to find idiots like you talkin sht instead of helping... talkin about how horrible the cover is and that the person looking for the cover should instead learn the original.. Which is the exact opposite of what he came here for. I wasn't even replying to your comment but you decided to chime in... I simply stated that when people come to a forum looking for one thing and a couple of morons tell them what they want is horrible... that isn't helpful to anyone at all. My comments were simply pointing out the fact that they were being rude. And what did you do? Made more stupid comments about how bad the song is because it wasn't an original. No one asked about the original or opinions on the original or the cover.. the guy, just like me, just wanted the bass tab.
