Badass or Babicz bridge?

I have a Babicz on a P now and although I like it, I'd gladly trade you for your BA if you decide that it's not for you

So far I'm tickled with the highway 1 as is. It's not as powerful as my little mexi j with it's dimarzio model j's, but it ain't no slouch by any means.

I vote for the bridge on the Blacktop basses. I ordered another one for my 77 VM jazz for only $40. It is a nice bridge[Invalid or Expired Link Removed]

I just started putting these on customer's basses. I must admit, very nice. Once they are locked down, they will not move. Easy settup and great tone transfer and resonance.

But If I had to chose between BAII and Babics, I'd say BAII only for nostalgia sake. They are classic upgrades. Like Craiger SS Rims on Cameros.

From a tech standpoint, the Babicz is really easy to install and has a host of adjustment that I have come to appreciate. The BA is a bit heavier IMO than the Babicz, so if you are looking for more weight, the BA is for you. Personally, my next bridge is going to be a Babicz. Working with it was really easy so I would buy another one in a heartbeat.

I installed a babicz bridge on my schector diamond j bass. Iove it, great sustain, better tone, super easy install. I'm not opposed to other types of high mass bridges, this one is def worth the money.

The Babicz gets the job done without adding to much weight, or sharp edges, or a more modern sound like the BAII does. IMO, the Babicz is a great piece of engineering with a great tone.

Most significantly, the BAII had an odd string spacing that I couldn't get used too. The Babicz is just right - and EVEN.

No , no problems at all. As long as the bridge screw spacing it standard 5 screw fender style. Installed and set it up in about an hour while I was at work ( I work at a guitar shop) .

The babicz bridge is great especially if you rest your hand or palm for certain styles. So smooth, I want to put one on every bass I own.

Babicz. Badass is a good bridge (for 30 years ago) it offers nothing new that a thicker plate and heavier saddles than a bent plate Fender bridge. IMO of course

Never got around to posting pics after I got the babicz way back when I started the thread.
Really is a great bridge, and I continue to wonder why people worship the badass bridge, as this was significantly cheaper and seems better to me.

I have a dilema between the badass and the babicz.

The only thing that makes me think about babicz more the badass is that badass is really difficult to get in Poland. Even when you get them they are really overpriced compared to babicz, which in Poland you can get nearly everywhere.

Talking about the sound, is there some big difference between those two or?

Though less well known (because its new compared to the badass) Babicz is a better bridge IMO. Brilliant design which is easy to adjust and to the extent such things make a tone difference, yes, it will sound better...

All a bridge can really do in terms of tone is increase the contact with the body and that's the whole idea of Babicz "Full Contact Hardware".

On mine the height adjustment still had about 1/3 of adjustment left so I could have lowered the strings onto the pickups there was so much room left.


Those KSM bridges look super awesome, but cost more than twice what I paid for the Babicz.
