This was a TKL bag that I got 15 years ago. My luthier had a few of them, and warned me that they were low quality, but the price was appropriate to my bass at the time, a hideously beaten up Kay.

Many of the straps have fallen off, and the music pocket in the back will no longer zip closed. But the bag still functioned until the main zipper started coming off. I loaded the sewing machine, an old Singer, with upholstery thread, and went to town.

Success! The bag is back in business.

I believe that this makes you an honorary if not official *yankee* in the best, most cost-effective sense of the word. Other folks might call you a cheapskate, but I'd call you resourceful! Personally, I'm particularly fond of duct-tape, but my wife does not appreciate my frugality. Which brand do you recommend? ;)
