Balanced Tension sets and string height

I've always wondered, with balanced tension sets generally you have thinner A and D strings compared to standard sets, so with balanced tension sets do you raise the A and D strings more than you normally would?

The setup process is the same regardless of gauge or tension.
You lower the string until it buzzes more than you want, then you raise it until it sounds right.
