Bump, that further voting is welcome. For the record, the name that was picked was "Parabolic Wave." I just posted the poll to see if I was crazy or not thinking that it was the weakest of the (weak) options we had. "Super Nice Guys" was my own preference, I thought it would communicate a feel-good fun time, and we could play it with a slight irony. Depending on band politics, and what happens when we get out there trying to get gigs, I'm hoping to get some new names suggested and revote.

I'm with you, Super Nice Guys is by far the best. Parabolic Wave sounds like a band made up of really geeky math professors.

Happy update: last night's rehearsal, we take a break and the guitarist pulls up a chair, sits down and takes a deep breath, like he's got to broach a really difficult subject.

He says, "Has this ever happened to you guys... you're talking to someone, and tell them you're in a band. They say, 'cool, what's the name of your band?' You tell them, 'Parabolic Wave.' And they just look at you and go, 'Huh?'"

I said no, this never happens to me, because I never talk to anyone about the name of my band.

Except TB, of course.

Looks like we're up for new name nominations again.

It's so nice to win once in a while.

Super Nice Guys isn't bad. Sounds like you've got a good sound but don't want to be taken too seriously.

"What's the name of this band again?" "The Super Nice Guys." "Oh :)."

the other names sound like you got them off a name generator and I would never go see any of those bands because of that. seriously.

your name should be just like your logo: simple, but effective.
