Banner / Backdrop Stand Recommendation

Any suggestions for a portable stand to support a 6’x3’ or 8’x3’ vinyl banner for a stage backdrop?

I’m looking for something similar to the following but hard to determine how stout some of these are.

Budget under $100. Preferably closer to $50 but not sure if there is one for that price that won’t easily fall over.

I wouldn't trust it outdoors. Indoors... maybe. What's the weight of the banner? Product in your link says it will bend and it is not suited for heavy objects. Not giving numbers. Your budget on the other hand... if it doesn't look like sh*t, give it a go. Don't count on durability.

A budget solution would be to find a pair of used speaker stands, run over to HD or wherever, get a section of plastic pipe with a diameter large enough to accommodate a drilled hole that would fit over the top stems of the stands, then cut the length to match the width of your banner with a little more overhang for the holes. As the stands are for dealing with top heavy weight, it all should be stable.

To clarify, I’m curious if someone has real life experience with one. The link, I posted is just an example of the type of solution I’m looking for but on the surface it looks flimsy.

I considered that but not sure how stiff the crossbar would be. It also needs to be collapsible so it fits in the bed of my midsize truck. I.e. less than 5’ long when collapsed.

I own a JTL Studio Systems B-909 stand. See if you can find used in one of those or some other JTL stand.
