Barts.......low output.......

Can't afford the pre right now hence the use of the TC3. Was not planning to use both.
Long post but I wanted to ask you if the modification worked ? I just installed Bartolini Original Dual Incline Coil Jazz pickups and love the tone/hate the low output. I just have to plug my fender into a sadowsky Spb 2 floor Preamp and it kills, just wish I didn't have to plug her into something to get the pickups to come to life. I am thinking about having the tech raise the pickups closer to the strings first before I spend any more money. What was ultimately your outcome?

On my previous ibby SR705 which upgrade with Bart P2 pup and ntmb preamp meet low output once installation done. Luckly the preamp has Gain control and problem solve.

I ended up not using it. Eventually went with a 3.3AP preamp and Bart Classic Series 'Brights'. Worked well sound wise. I hated the bass though and traded it locally long ago.
