I'm building my own bass and have decided to go with a set of active P/J pickups (still a toss up between EMG and Seymour Duncan). I was just wondering a few things: Should I be using 25k or 100k pots? Does my jack need to be mono or stereo? Finally, Are there any thoughts on doing internal preamps, using stacked pots in stead of single ones, or whether the setup I plan on using is any good?
