Bass amp

I'm only going to play in my room can I use my guitar amp it's a fender champion 20? If I need a bass amp any ideas for under $50

Nope on both counts.
The Champ is much too wimpy to be used for bass, even at low volume. It's an open back cabinet that won't reproduce much bass at all.

$75-100 is a more reasonable amount for a decent used bass amp, unless you get real lucky.

I would say you can play the bass through your Champion 20 at low volume but not to the level where it distorts your speaker. Try playing it with the headphones, it should be better.

If you have a iPhone or iPad and a decent pair of headphones or speakers, I suggest using an iRig or the equivalent TC Hellicon product (around $25), which lets you plug in your device and use the free GarageBand app, which has pretty good bass amp simulations.
