Bass amps

Looking for an opinion. I have been looking at combo amps for my bass. for a long time. I have been looking at the 100W Fender Rumble, which has always gotten great reviews. For my birthday, my son showed up with a TC Electronic BG250-112 1x12 amp. He got this amp because the guy at guitar Center told him it was a better amp than the Fender but it also cost 100 bucks more. I am only going to use this amp in my house and for recording so i do not need a 250 watt amp. The TC has this feature called TonePrint which are affects that you download to the amp. My feeling was that I am not going to be using Chorus and flangers on my bass and if i really wanted it, i could run my bass through my pedal board and get all of those. My decision was to return it and i most likely will go with the Fender 100W Rumble. I hope i did not make a mistake.

From a financial point of view, I could buy either this or the rumble from Sweetwater and pay no tax, free shipping and get a full 2 year extended warranty for free VS paying Guitar center taxes and pay for the warranty. Sweetwater is by far the best way to go . I would like to hear some opinions that would compare both amps.

Thanks
