Not at all what I expected.
I recently bought a Little Mark Tube 800 with a 4-10" cabinet. As far as I know the two outputs on the head are 8 ohm and the cabinet is also 8 ohm. I also have an old Peavey cabinet with a 18" Black Widow speaker that says it's 4 ohm on the back. I don't think I can hook up the 410 first and then the Peavey off the back because I think that would make it series and it would be 6 ohms then and be lower than the head. Does anybody know if I can hook the 410 to one output and the Peavey to the other output? The paper work for the head says 450w RMS @ 8 ohm and 750w @ 4 ohm. The Peavey says on the back 400w RMS(program) and 250w RMS (31.6V RMS cont.) so I guess I shouldn't turn it up too much. I had a Peavey Centurion amp that went with it but I let a guy borrow it and he moved and took it. Can't get a hold of him any kind of way. It was my very first amp and I probably had it nearly 40 years. Makes me sad. That's what I get for being nice.

The OP's Peavey cabinet is probably heavier than a Mercedes G-Class SUV!...one is probably smaller, easier to move for certain situations.

Hey, if you find that guy that stole your amp, see if he has my 1965 Fender Jazz Bass, my Standel MCIIB/SAM30B piggy-back amp, my Shure 565sd mic, my Shure 585sd mic, and my one Atlas mic stand with gooseneck attachement...was all stolen from me in 1976. Did leave me one Atlas mic boom stand. I think it was just too heavy to take both. Thanks guys. That's what I was looking to learn. So I guess now, I find me another amp for the 4 ohm cabinet or sell it and get me another mark bass cab with a 15. I swear, I could choke the life out of that guy that stole my old amp. If I could find him that is.
I'm guessing you left this stuff in your car?Hey, if you find that guy that stole your amp, see if he has my 1965 Fender Jazz Bass, my Standel MCIIB/SAM30B piggy-back amp, my Shure 565sd mic, my Shure 585sd mic, and my one Atlas mic stand with gooseneck attachement...was all stolen from me in 1976. I'll be more than happy to help "teach him a lesson" if you find him...just saying...
I lol'd. ; DYes, but easier to move.......................![]()
Nope.I'm guessing you left this stuff in your car?
Know what? I'm sorry. Poor form on my part to assume that. You may? forgive me because we read about it all the time. I'm truly sorry and that sucks.Nope.
We had just moved up to Oregon from LA in February 1976 and were staying at my in-laws house for a couple of weeks while we waited for our apartment to be ready for move-in. House was burglarized while everyone was away one night. Got back around 9 or 10. House had been ransacked and all my music gear was gone except for one of my two mic stands. Took me almost 10-years to find another Jazz Bass with the same neck profile as my '65. Found it in 1985 and that's it in my avatar.
No offense taken @David Jayne. It was a long time ago and I'm not sure I would trade my current Jazz for my '65 except for the memories. This one plays just like my '65 did, but has better sustain.Know what? I'm sorry. Poor form on my part to assume that. You may? forgive me because we read about it all the time. @micguy ...Uh...NO! I hope that was a joke. Perhaps put a smiley face to it next time?As we get older, time seems to pass differently. It's probably not more sustain, you just don't have a good idea how long it's been since you played the note.
if I ever heard it.And, if your original comment was meant as a joke. Please ignore my previous rant.![]()
Hey @micguy, I am very relieved that it was. I've enjoyed your comments on TB and couldn't believe you said that. I had almost completed my rant before I re-read your comment and thought, "that might have been a joke." So thanks for that. I'm laughing at it now - would have been real funny in person. Sorry for going off.It was. From the dates you reference, I know you and I are a couple of relatively senior musicians - it was a friendly jab from one oldster to another. I thought my initial sentence made that obvious; my apologies that it wasn't.

Sorry for going off.
