Bass Central and Lakland

Just have to chime in here and commend Bass Central on their customer service.

I bought a DJ5 from them just last week. Beaver, Ed, Grasshopper, Michael and whoever else there that I don't know that has helped me have been great. I've spoken to those three though, and they went above and beyond in getting things squared away for me. I had questions about all kinds of things, and they took basses that were still in the boxes out of the back and checked things for me to make sure I was happy with what I was ordering. Bass arrived in great shape, but...

I wasn't totally pleased with the DJ5. I like it, but I bought a 55-02 from someone here and it arrived the exact same day. 55-02 felt like "me". So I decided I really wanted a 44-02 to compliment it instead of the DJ5. After all that trouble I put Beaver and Company through on the DJ5, I was reluctant to call back and tell them I wanted to do an exchange. But I did, and they were totally accomodating to me a second time, even going through the same hassle with em in checking out the 44-02 to make sure it was really what I wanted...grabbing it ouf of the back, unboxing it, and checking it out for me. Totally fantastic customer service. I can't tell you the number of times I've called around shopping for things and the person on the other end of the phone doesn't want to do much more than give a price as quick as he can. Not Bass Central. They do what it takes.

I had a similar experience with them a couple of years ago when purchasing a cabinet. They went the extra mile then to.

These guys are highly recommended by me! Congrats to Bass Central for running a tight ship and making people happy. I'll be coming back for more in the future.

I was there last year on a family vacation. Ended up leaving with a Sterling and I cant say enough of them, tried maybe a dozen basses, all fresh out of the box. Saving up for my next trip to Orlando, just wishing the Canadian dollar would go back on par haha

Mark,

I would not exactly say you bought a dud pre-amp to be honest. you recieved it December 31 and contacted us January 17th to alert us of a problem stating you had at least 30 hours playing time on it. I clearly stated to you that i was contacting GK to help you resolve your issue and that The namm Show was in process which makes communication difficult. For alot of Companies, it does not end the day the show ends just so you are aware, there are many meetings after the actual show that occur as well as travel days involved. We have contacted GK as we said we would do and will continue to provide you with the Excellent customer service that we are known for. Thanks for being patient.
