Bass Collection / Momose / SGC Nanyo

I bought this jazz bass this week and it's history is really stumping me.
It's an incredibly well made bass and the cut of the headstock is leading me to think it was made by Momose in the 1990's for Bass Collection.
It is definitely Japanese, it has been converted to passive with Bartolini's. The only catalogue I could find with this bass in is a SGC Nanyo (known for SB 1990s basses) with the jazz basses added as a side note. Inidentally the jazz basses seemed to have cost the most (130,000 Yen).
I'd like to know more about this bass. I gave it a proper set up and it's definitely a solid bit of craftsmanship. If anybody knows the connection to Bass Collection and these please enlighten me. How area they so rare in the U.K? Who actually made these? It's a great J bass.
Interestingly.......it has 22 frets. If anybody else has one of these & knows the story please let me know.

Get in touch with the Bass Centre. After SGC Nanyo folded in the 90's they retained the rights to the name.
As they were the main distributor they could still have records. It not so much they're rare,Bass Collection
along with Tune sadly just never won the branding market, great basses though.Back in the 80s/90s both
cost £800+ and folks weren't prepared to pay that for Japanese basses.

Damn fools and a damn shame.

After some digging about (literally under the neck near that odd 22nd fret) I found a Momose stamp & one of their Japanese distributors confirmed it was indeed a Momose bass branded with Bass Collection from the 90's.
Very very happy with this Jazz bass
I guess it's a case of looking beyond the headstock logo and at the quality of the build itself. I just knew that if the finish on the bass was that good there could be no way it would be dressed with mediocre parts.
Before this I had a CSL jazz bass from the 1976 which I adored and it's market value was £150. When it was nicked I was gutted because it'll end up in someone's spare room becasue it's not a fender basically. I would have gladly bought it back for £100 just to save it from oblivion.
Anyway to cut a long story short; a beautiful bass for a fraction of it's real "worth" but one I'm going to cherish forever and play out at gigs and festivals.

OP, just a quick one, but your picture of the body of your bass, looks to me as if it has 21 frets, not 22 - https://www.talkbass.com/attachments/img_0571_zpsd72a2ff7-jpg.925298/ Probably not a biggy, except if you are trying to find about a 22 fretted instrument, and you mean a 21 fretted one, you probably won't get the correct info.

BTW, Nice bass!
