Best bass for metal? Well "the best" would be the Mothman bass. You may have to do a search to learn more.

But really, just about any bass that you enjoy playing will work.

You didn't say which metal. If you're gonna be doing something like this: a spector really cuts through.

Used Bongo - $750 shipped for a 4 or 5 HH or H

decent for cheap-------go check out a Peavey Grind. Thats for starters. Personally--P and J pickups float my boat.

I guess you need to identify the sound in your head and find a bass that matches that.

Hah! Good luck-you are now embarking on a life-long quest for "THE TONE".

And after you settle on a bass, you will be thinking about amps and effects. It never ends and that is part of the fun and sweetness of being a bassist. You'll get to like having GAS.

With BTBAM, I think you can only hear the bass more because they turn it up louder than most bands, I could be wrong though

Before this thread gets closed ONE word: Anyone.

"Anyone" does not work in this context, as he is not speaking about a person. It would have to be two words- "any one," and even then, it would not be a complete sentence.

This sort of grammatical inaccuracy is simply unacceptable- I'm going to have to close the thread because of it.
