thank you exactly what i needed, i did it and it worked but i cannot get a new bass because i'm a teen and not enough money on me thank you thoughI had a peavey foundation that the clover shaped flat portion that you grab on the tuner was loose on the shaft. It did the same thing... the rattling that only I could hear drove me nuts. Can't remember if it was a spot of jb weld, super glue, or I actually was stupid and threw on some flux and put a spot of solder on it... but it worked.
However... I do concur with dlew919... it's a good excuse to get a new bass.
