    Hey guys

Today i plug in my bass and start warming up for about a half hour as usual, and then out of no where it starts slightly distorting and poof it farts out, i can hear i little thumping from the strings then nothing, i switch between my active pickups to passive doesent work so i unplugged it and tried it again, worked for about two minutes did the same thing, tried different chords still does it, i plug in my other bass to see if its my amp (hopeing it is because my amps a pile of sh*t anyways) doesent fart out or anything.

anybody have any idea on what it could be?

a simple problem with the jack perhaps?

i need some advice because my dads not around to help with this crap anymore and im hopeless with this stuff.

I suggest it's time for you to read through/study all of TB's FAQ's and stickies!

Lots of great info there to help solve future problems.

PS. Sorry to hear about your dad. :atoz:
