bass-Less Music

Does anybody have or know of a site where you can get ( download) bass-less music for practice purpose's.. Thanks Scott

You could run it through Audacity or some other music processing program, and apply a high pass filter at 200 Hz or so. Apply the filter 2-3 times and you’ll wipe out most of the bass.

Good advice Wayne, but unfortunately you'll also erase quite a bit of the bass drum (supposing it isn't triggered). You should try Band in a Box, it's a great piece of software for your purpose.

Or if all else fails, you could always play bass along a Pig Destroyer record.

I hear you, Ibanez Bassist! The CDs that come with all my books have the bass recorded on one side and the guitar and drums on the other.

I don't see the need. Just play along. Something I find infinitely useful, however, is isolated bass tracks. Make figuring out what they're playing so easy!

Because of the recording gear and program that I have I like to insert the drums and the bass guitar as a separate track and mix it down myself..It seems very easy to get drum-less music and even some guitar-less stuff..but I see very little bass-less stuff..

Be sure to practice the bass lines with nothing but you and a metronome, too. It'll make your mistakes stick out WAY more then if you're playing with the record, and force you to become a much better player.
