Now I have to dissapoint you twice...

I can't play the video. Could be some nation issues, a lot is blocked in Holland. Secondly I still haven't got a fretless bass, although I think I get one from my GF for my birthday, lucky me :).

But your gp4 file looks great.

I get that sometimes with links on TB - I always assumed it was a US vs EU issue, but perhaps it goes deeper. The second video is 'Big Fine Girl' by The Blues Band, maybe you'll find a YouTube link that works for you.

Beware... fretless can take control :D After you've played one for a while you might find that frets feel restricting & a lot more work. Top Tip:— If you do get one, try to get the same model as your main fretted bass- it won't feel quite as weird that way.

Thanks for the advice. I am already aiming at the Ibanez SRF705. I read some very good reviews about the SRF and I do love my SR5005. Only drawback it has no fret lines on the fret board (only on the side), which I heard make it more difficult in the beginning. Anyways I have to be patience for the next 34 days.

BTW I tried your scores last evening and they are great, also nice for finger spread practice :). Easier to play on a 5 strings though, because you only have to move position in the last 2 bars.

Lines on the board are actually pretty useless (unless you play like Peter Hook :D), as you can't see them when playing normally. What is a big plus is having lines & dots on the edge of the board, which was a little mod I made to my de-fretted Aria:—

A quick Google shows that your target Ibby has dots and lines which is ideal IMO as that keeps everything where you expect to find it. You'll probably sound like **** for a couple of weeks as you'll default to playing between the lines just as you would on a fretted - that soon wears off & there's no going back after that :D

A good album to get is Paul Rodgers' 'Muddy Waters Blues' set. Pino Palladino showing that a fretless will fit just about anywhere. Their take on 'Born Under A Bad Sign' is awesome.

Good to hear that it works for you. I only did it as an exercise to try & get my head around the 6-2-5-1 turnaround - it doesn't come up that often in Blues & R'n'B, but it's still a worthwhile thing to have in the trick bag.

Yes, the Ibanez has lines and dots on the edge like your Aria. Good to hear from an experienced guy this is enough. I guess people like Scott Devine strongly advice lines to sell his own signature basses :).

Anyways thanks again for your time and thinking, and I will listen to Muddy Water Blues.
