Bass Making!!

What is your opinion on custom bass making?

Because it sounds like fun, I want to custom make my and my all parts for a new bass. I've decided a body would be a good idea. :hmm: Have any sites in mind? What woods would be nice? Mahogany, Alder, Swamp Ash, Walnut, Carbon fiber?

I'll reply any questions in an hour or two, and then I'll check every 5 minutes :bassist:

It's fun, frustrating, expensive, gratifying, a great learning experience, your loved ones will either hate you or be thankful for the many hours you no longer spend with them, sometimes if things don't work out as planned or you ruin a piece that you just spent a few days on you'll want to cut yourself with a rusty blade or bang your forehead into the spike of an anvil for wasting so much precious time... basically it's one of life's many rollercoasters. And it's addictive.
