AND FEEL IT AN OCTAVE LOWER?I HAVE AN SVT 3 WITH A CREST SLAVE AMP A, SINGLE 15 AND A SINGLE 18 BOTH RUNNING FULL RANGE,BOTH AMPEG .I THOUGHT OF TAKING THE UNBALANCED OUT OF MY SVT AND PUTTING IT THROUGH THE MAINS BUT NOW I CANT HEAR IT.I TRIED THE MXR OCTAVE PEDAL AND IT'S NOT WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR.HELP!!

THANKS FOR QUICK ANSWER!I HEAR WHAT YOU'RE SAYING ABOUT DAMAGING YOUR CABINETS.THE BULK OF MY USE IS OPENING FOR NATIONAL ACTS AND OF COURSE THE HOUSE PA IS TREMENDOUS.SO SENDING THAT E OR A THROUGH ALL THE 18'S OUT FRONT ISNT A PROBLEM.

I've tried almost all of the available octave pedals and settled on a Micro POG. It really does the best job by far and handling the lower notes cleanly and has the quickest response. It may not track a low E, though - that is a nearly impossible task.

Sorry About The Caps!!!

:)

Rookie mistake. ;)
It's almost a consensus that everone is annoyed when reading something in all caps.

Welcome to the forum, it's good to have a well seasoned player.

I have not much experiences with other octave pedals.
But you can't go wrong with a POG... microPOG would be enough for your needs.
It's digital though, I have no experience with analog octavers so I don't know if analog is going to suit you better.

I'm glad this thread was made. I was also curious about this.

This video shows some differences between the EBS Octabass, OC-2, and Micro-Pog.

I like the Octabass but for the price I'll probably go for the OC-2 which is nice in different ways. Anyone have experience with the MXR M88? I might be able to get one for cheaper than the OC-2. I've heard it's sound is somewhere between the Octabass and OC-2 and I've also heard it's not very good at all.
