Bass overdrive decisions

I have the B7K, it's my favorite pedal for aggressive tones. It doesn't have to sound aggressive, of course, but that's its strength IMO.

I think the Blowerbox works great for subtle, low gain OD as well as the high gain stuff... but yeah, the BB would not be my first choice for vintage/warm tones.

You b@st@rds have convinced me to buy one!!

It's funny lookin', but I love the feature set. The sale makes me wonder if they're coming out with a new version, but whatever, I've been curious about this pedal for awhile and look forward to checking it out.

ha, that's what you get for hanging out around here. let us know what you think after you've given it a spin!

Looking forward to knowing your opinion on that one. I actually use mine either for tone shaping (mostly high end roll off and some mids) or for light drive.

That was the selling point for me: clean/low gain performance. I've got moderate/higher gain OD covered very well already.

P.S. Very cool that Creation Audio shipped my Grizzly out the same day I ordered it. ETA Monday, so I'll have it for Wednesday rehearsal.

I know this is the 1,000,000th thread about this topic but I've narrowed my search to 4 pedals. Which one do you think is best?

1) BOSS BB-1X Bass Driver
2) Ibanez TS9B Tube Screamer
3) Xotic effects Bass RC booster
4) EHX bass soul food

What do you think?

I've tried the soul food, and I thought it was kinda meh
I own the Ibanez, stock its not very good but if you send it to FXDoctor you'll be very happy with it, he does a mod to boost the gain and it makes it very nice
RC booster, I was under the impression it was a clean boost not an overdrive.
BBx I cant comment on, never tried it.
