bass overdrive question

Too bad you can't find another one that easy. :hmm:
I probably can order them by the dozen.

A compressor? Really?
I would've thought the Boss Limiter Enhancer would be great for tapping.
But I don't know much about the pedals: compressor and limiter/enhancer.

On your advice I'll try a compressor (the CS-3) out when I have the chance.

The CS-3 works for me, although I have heard some people say that it sucks bass. I can't notice if it does. And yes, I think compressors works great for tapping, since usually tapped notes are not as loud as the plucked notes. The great thing about compressors is that your sound is always there, no matter what you do, you will hear it. It kills some of the dynamics, but you can always turn it off.
