Bass > Sansamp > ???

when playing live, what will come after my Sansamp bass driver if I go DI to FOH.

mic preamp?
EQ?
Compressor?

Can get saturation fr sansamp drive, so no need mic preamp.
Sansamp has EQ, unless you wan more EQ controls.
Compressor after sansamp? Sansamp drive gives a subtle comp, but you can if you want more compression.

I run Bass -> BDDI -> FOH.

If the soundman wants more compression or EQ he can add it at the board.
I do that with my church-provided BDDI as I don’t use my personal rig at church - tho I could if I wanted to.
That rig has wireless into tuner, has Cali 76 Comp, Corona Chorus, JHS Punchline - all switchable via gig rig quartermaster QMX6 - into a Khan VTDI going to FOH. Most of the time I only have the comp active (light compression) in case I get exuberant!
I do use the others for some songs.

Lol this cracked me up. 'I have this epic spendy board full of awesomeness, but mostly I just use a Sansamp'

This question is worded a little ambiguously IMO.

What do you need to put after your Sansamp before you send it to the desk? Nothing.

What will come after it at the desk? Definitely a mic preamp. Almost definitely some eq. Probably some compression.

Depends on what sound you want. Personally, I didn't care for the BDDI nor have I found a compressor that I actually like. I like to think my technique is good enough to where I don't need a compressor as much as some do and if the FOH guy wants more/less compression, they can adjust it at the board.

Personally, I would put an always-on EQ/preamp (currently Darkglass in my case) before any OD pedals and the last thing on my pedal board is a noise gate. If you want to, you could just plug an XLR into the BDDI and ship it. Just depends on what you're going for.

My Sansamp is the last item in my signal chain. It has been there for over 10 years now. I add compression and an occasional octave box to the input side of my Sansamp. The balanced DI output is clean and has a ground lift button. The unbalanced output is enough to drive a bass amp but often not enough to drive a power amp to rated maximum power, but that doesn't really matter as my bass amp is only a stage monitor... The max output level of my Sansamp Character Series preamp/DI is good enough to use as "last in the chain" in my experience, both at church where I'm ampless with IEM's or at my band gigs with stage amps wedge monitors and full FOH PA.
