Bass settings for studio session

I just finished several days of session work... different studios... different projects... different engineers.

My instrument of choice for all these sessions was a 2-band fretless Music Man Stingray. Each studio had me set the volume differently. And most had me set the preamp eq differently.

So after all these years I started thinking... what's considered the standard (if there is such a thing) preamp setting for recording an active instrument such as a Stingray?
