Bass sound elements!

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by bassophile, Oct 17, 2005.

  1. Guys, what do you think what mostly affects sound - pickup, wood, strings (different manufacturers, not type) or fingers (technique) I think that pickup holds about 50%, wood - 25%, technique - 20% and strings 5%

  3. Hm.

This might be skewed, but I'd go with the following:

    Technique - 70
    Pickups - 25
    Strings - 3
    Wood - 2

    Wood: 10%
    Strings: 5%

Something around there. Basically, mostly technique and pickups.
