Bass Strap Advice!!!

Hey guys, I'm just now considering changing out my strap for a more comfortable strap due to some strain on the shoulder during long sets. I just have the strap that came with my bass in it's case candy and it's the very slightly padded fender logo strap. For length and whatnot, I'm about 6'1 and I like to play medium high with the center of my Jazz just above or at my belt.

I did a benefit thing today where a couple of instructors got together, had their kids play some instruments, and the drummer in my main project went up there with me and whatnot. I know the 4-5 hours of playing had something to do with it, but my strap isn't very substantial and I'm in peak shape due to my youth =D. I'm not necessarily bothered by the weight when I play gigs / practice and whatnot, but if I'm really going at it, weight can strain my left shoulder a little and become annoying which in turn takes my focus off playing the bass and funnels it into a hate for my strap.

As far as suggestions go, keep in mind that I'm not looking for anything outlandish. A slight vintage look to it would be nice seeing as though I play Fender Jazz's and can't seem to find another bass out there that does it for me, so I'll be playing Jazz's for a while at least. Color of the bass is an Oly White, but it's creamed over with extensive use, so I'm not looking for bright colors, but relatively neutral colors are preferred or colors that go well with anything. Tans, natural leathers, blacks.

I just received a Neotech Mega model strap I grabbed on eBay for less than $30, with the shipping. It's a bit wider and longer than the Super, and WOW, it's great. Check it out. Measure your current strap from buttonhole to buttonhole to be sure you get the right length. You're likely to want the Mega over the Super, just for the extra length, but you'll love the extra width as well. At first I was concerned it could be too wide, but after I had it on that thought never again crossed my mind.

If you go to a leather strap, you don't need to go substantially wider. It seems to hug your back more and hold the instrument more evenly rather than just at the top of your shoulder. No idea why other than it clings to clothing more than a nylon strap.
