Bass String vibration captured in Slow Motion...

If viewed from the end of the string, looking lengthwise from the bridge to the nut, you would see that the movement of the various segments of the string would form a perfect circle. All in less than a half second. Back in the 50's they took a few dozen still shots at high speed from the end of a vibrating string and overlayed the negatives, forming a single picture. The movements of the string looked like the spokes of a bicycle wheel. Fascinating isn't it. :smug:
