Bass synth pedals

It depends on what sounds you are trying to achieve. I've tried the following:

Boss SYB-03
Boss SYB-05
EHX Bass Micro Synth XO
Digitech BSW

My fav so far has been the BMS XO but I traded it for a POG2 and am in no rush to get a BMS back.....

I use octave>fuzz>envelope filter (Boss OC-2>Wooly Mammoth/EHX Russian Big Muff with gate knob added/ Way Huge Swollen Pickle> 3 leaf GR and I can make a LOT of cool synthy sounds with good tracking.

I just picked up a used Behringer :hiding: V-Amp pro Bass. The synth on there tracks extremely well, and produces some amazing synth sounds.

Yes, it's a Behringer. :spit: but it was less money than most standalone pedals, and does just as good a job. It's an amazingly versatile pre-amp too...

Want synth + dirt, it's there in spades.

iron ether oxide>3 leaf GR2>EH micro pog = synth goodness. I find I get all the synth sounds I was using with a EH bass micro synth or the multiple effects pedal I was using. The sounds those synth pedals could get that my current configuration can't get I didn't use anyway because they didn't track well.

Oh yeah I forgot to mention I use a POG2 and along with the following all contribute in some way to getting a synth sound....

Boss OC-2 Octave
Wooly Mammoth
EHX Russian BM (with gate knob, voltage bias knob, and oscillation switch)
Way Huge Swollen Pickle
Boss BF-2 Flanger
MXR Phase 100
Dunlop 105Q
3-Leaf Audio GR-1
MA-Wrong Side of Uranus
EHX POG2
EHX MM with Hazarai
Strymon El Capistan

and to a degree
Tech21 VT Bass

certain ones are mixed in various degrees to get a HUGE variety of synth tones
