Bass VI/Baritone help!

I have saved up enough money now to buy a new bass and i'm going for a Bass VI/Baritone instrument to tune E-E. I've had my eyes on a more vintage looking instrument like Danelectro and Gretsch. I have narrowed it down to these models and i wonder what is the most "bang for the buck"?

Is the wood bridge on the Dano Wild thing gonna have intonation troubles?

Are those all 30" scale? That would be the main thing to worry about. I've played 6-string basses for 20 years, currently own a Jerry Jones Longhorn Bass VI and the Gretsch 6-string, they call it a "baritone" but it's actually a 6-string bass(E-E).

I believe all of them are 30" scale. Are the Danos adjustable in the neck?

I don't know how much of a hassle it might be, since I'm guessing you're posting from Germany, but I've got an Eastwood Sidejack baritone and I really really dig it. Tuned E-E, needed some very minor and easy truss rod relief, plays great and has the retro look. Looks like they go for about $450 US right now, but I believe I paid a bit less for mine.

There is the coolest custom shop Fender Bass VI shell pink relic on EBAY right now, if I had the 3K it would be on its way here, barring that you can't go wrong with a Jerry Jones

I have a Dan Electro and I'm not not particularly impressed. Plays okay, but the bridge is cheap, as are the electronics... I hardly use it.

I've got a Blue Sparkle Danelectro bass 6 reissue from about 10 years ago and its a great bass. Lipsticks and and adjustable bridge, you might find a used one out there.

I've got a Jerry Jones Longhorn 6 tuned E-E, it sounds and plays great. I personally don't think the Dano reissues come close.

Of the ones you're looking at, I'd go with the Gretsch.

Oops, forgot to add that the would bridge wouldn't be a problem unless you want to change string gauges to tune it A-A or B-B, as a lot of people do. You'll have no way to intonate for the change.

RondoMusic.com has 'Bass VI' 30" scale basses...I've been thinking of getting one for the price ($300-$400) tuned E-to-E.

Ok heres an update. I found a Dano 63 and a Gretsch Jet at a store and i fell in love with both, but i went with a Dano in gold finish. It just had something special and i couldn't put it away, love at first sight.

The Dano has baritone B-B strings stock but i bought Bass VI strings at the same time, can i put them on or should i let a tech check the nut first? I got a set of D'addario Xl156 and Ernie Ball 6 string bass guitar slinkys.
