Hi everybody! Can I put the strings for Fender (or Squier) bass VI on an Ibanez SDGR 6-strings bass guitar (that has a regular 34'' scale)? Did anyone try to do this before? I am not sure the strings are long enough to reach the tuners and make a few rounds around them. I will fix the action by adjusting the bridge and the neck of course. Thanks in advance! Cheers!

First of all, reaching the tuning posts will not be a problem.
However, the fat part of the string may be too short to reach the nut. Fender/Squier bass VI strings are about 35.5 inches long, from the ball end to the tapering point, whereas the distance between the back of the bridge and the nut on many long-scale basses is closer to 36 inches: 34" (+ some intonation compensation) from the nut to the bridge saddles, and then a little more from saddle to where the ball ends are anchored.
I say try them, they're not very expensive.
[My suggestion is to get the Fender Super 250B6, with a 100 gauge low E, instead of the D'Addario EXL156, where the low E is a 084, unless you really want the 084.]
If they fit, great. If they don't fit, you will have to be creative, and procure some metal parts to be used as extenders, between the ball end of the string and the bridge backplate.
