If you have seen any of previous posts, you might know that I am currently sans job and I am desperately wanting to go back to school in the fall. In order to go back to school, I have to pay off a debt from last year that totals around $550 at this point. I had worked out a deal with my roommate to forego paying rent until the debt is paid off, but now that I am without a job, I'm currently waiting to hear back from two potential jobs, one of them being UPS. Until then, I have to live within my means, and I'm not sure how soon it will be until I have a steady income again.
One thought that has crossed my head was to sell my one and only bass, my Lakland Skyline JO5 to raise the money and pay off my debt. My logic in this plan is that I could always rebound in the fall, once I have a for sure job and my student loan. I have no gigs or bands and I pretty much only play for recreation, now.
Is this a stupid idea? Putting my education above a hobby?
