Bass w/ Mic Pre shootout

Thought this link might be of some use to some folks here. They ran a Lakland Bob Glaub through about 20 different mic pres to get some comparisons.

Very interesting. MY favorite rig is using a good mic pre...I have a Manley VoxBox, Avalon 737, TL Audio 5051, and a Meek..... and just got my new absolute favorite...Chandler Germanium (very cool pre for bass!!)

Of course, I would be nervous as all hell gigging out with any of these! For gigs I use my simplest setup: Demeter Tube DI to house and to AI amp/Bag End cab as monitor.
Tho I just picked up a True Voice preamp..which will probably end up as my gigging rig.
