Has anyone had good experiences with a Subaru Outback?

I bought an '03 Outback in June, it has been a great bass car. Plenty of room for my DB, amp, music stand (when needed). I've also transported myself, two guitar players, my bass, amp, two guitars plus their amps with no problem.

A Toyota Prius is a fantastic gigging machine. At 51 mpg, I can even come out ahead deducting volunteer miles at 0.14 each.

I use to have an equinox and have a thin mattress so I could fold it to put the seats up and unfold it when putting the seats down for my bass.

It is not a Smart but one of the smallest cars on the (European) market: the Citroen C1/Toyota Aygo/Peugeot 107.

I tried my bass in my wifes C1 and it fits nicely. Even room for a passenger on the backseat! I guess bringing an amp too would be pushing it a bit too far though...

This is basically the same as a Chevy Spark, which my girlfriend drives. Great car. Only 80hp though, LOL!

alright i have a question to pose. im looking to buy a car, but as a db player, i need one with room for a fat man to lie down in the back.. i was thinking about an el camino, but im not sure about the size of the trunk thing. in any case, outside of a station wagon or an suv, what are some other alternatives?

Big fan of Bill Crow. Great bass player and an even greater writer! I've got one of his books, "From Birdland to Broadway", would like to get the other one, "Jazz Anecdotes".

Hey Matt, I'm still waiting for a photo of this mind-bending occurrence with bated breath.

Next time I use one you'll get a pic. We currently have the Chevy Spark which will fit 1 driver, 2 passengers, bass, and GB shuttle 3.0 8T. The bass trailer still works the best.
