Bassist on "Crooked Smile"?

Anyone know who played bass on the single "Crooked Smile" by J. Cole and TLC? The bass work is in that Thad Tribbett style. I'm guessing it could be big guy who endorses Ibanez and has played for Jill Scott, but I can't remember his name. Whoever it is, the bassline is great!

Edit: Just checked your profile. Name is Al Carty. Funny, I know another Al Boogz from NYC. Plays all over. Hangs at Cafe Oasis in Baldwin all the time. Do you know him?

Can't say I do, which is funny. I've been known as Al Boogie since before I started recording and touring professionally. Maybe I'll cross paths with him someday.

If you ain't doin' nuthin' on a Sunday night, head on over to Cafe Oasis (LIRR stop at Baldwin, right at the bottom of the stairs). Open mic starts at 10pm. House band has Shawn Whitley on bass, Harold Robbins on Keys and 2 crazy talented female musicians Debbie Knapper on guitar and Lucy Padmore on drums. You may run into Al Boogz there. My big brother Tony Robinson (another bassist and TB member known as pyrohr) hangs there as well. Check it out when you get a chance. Bring a whole band in there and jam.

IMO, that is J Cole's best song because of the bassline.
