Hey Everybody,
I run sound for a party band. Recently the trombone player has been having issues with his wireless units. He's got a wireless mic for his horn, as well as wireless IEM's. Oddly, both packs have been eating through batteries at an alarming rate recently.
Even with the units turned off, the battery is being drained and killed in a matter of a few hours or less. Whereas they used to go 5-6 gigs before needing to be replaced. Is it possible there is a short in the pack that could cause this? Anybody experience similar problems?
He uses Duracell ProCells, so it's not a cheap battery. Also the actual in ear units got fried at the last gig, so overall its been some rough times for this guy's wireless efforts.
Thanks for the help!
