Battery question

I just bought an EBS Multicomp and Korg tuner, both take batteries, and both run off of them. I was wondering, if the units aren't turned on, if the batteries were draining since a cable is plugged in. I have a Sansamp DI, and I know the battery will die if a cable is left plugged in when not in use. I was wondering if all battery powered units were the same as the Sansamp.

Yes. If a cable is plugged in its draining. Pretty universal for all pedals

Forgot to unplug my Jag and the battery died, so the same applies to (probably all) active basses.

That is why I use a power supply. No need to worry about power drain.

If you are the type to only remove the input cable take note that some pedals are turned on by the output jack instead.

Some are definitely turned on by the output jack...
