battle of the 1x12" combo

...and for about the same price as the GK (which is nasal and very boxy, requires a TON of EQ to get a bass sound out of, and there goes all your headroom and dynamic range when you do that), look at the TC 250 combo for about $400.00. I was JUST AB'ing the GK 12 (which was within $20.00 of the price) and the TC a few hours ago by coincidence - TC won by a knockout...

Well Mr. "Know-it-all", you're AB-ing a 12" GK with a 15" TC.
The TS specifically named 12"-ers as is in the title of this topic.

MY 12" GK is not nasal and yes a bit boxy, but so is the 12" Markbass. But the GK has a growl to it that I happen to like way more than the Markbass sound. The GK need no EQ whatsoever to get a great sound with my '55 P bass. Deep and growly all the way.

...but as it was within $20.00 in price, I thought I'd compare it, rather than the OP's comparison of a $400.00 amp with a $1400.00 one.
