BBE BMAX SETTINGS!!

BMax mids are tricky. What instrument are you using?

Growly? I never got that out of my Bmax. Super clean and punchy? Yup.

My eq setting is treble and bass at 2, and mids full. The "internal eq" is set to scoop mids, so that setting above is similar to other amps flat. Anything else and you'll get that scooped sound.

You can always boost mids with the parametric controls.

You might want to try a low gain overdrive pedal for growl.

No. You can certainly play around with the knobs, but its not going to sound like a GK or Aguilar or SWR. But using the settings I posted will give the least colored sound - so if you are using a pedal, you can preserve the tone of that pedal and tweak from there.

If you're looking for another sound, maybe buy a different preamp. Or add a pedal.
