BBE Sonic Maximizer Question

I plan on getting this BBE effect to get a boost without too much colouring. But where would you put it in the effect chain? At the beginning or at th end?

Here is my effect setup: tuner - Distortion(MXR BBtorch) - Enveloppe filter (Ashdown)

I would also like to throw an octaver in there, where would you put that?

Thanks

Wait, what? A boost without coloring? Do you know what the sonic maximizer does? It doesn't boost your volume, it just adds depth and clarity to your sound.

In answer to your question, though, it should always go as late in your chain as possible. If you have an effects loop, that's the best place for it.

As for the octaver, that should probably be first in line, or right after your tuner.

What bassman1185 said. The Sonic Maximizer goes last, but it isn't a boost pedal.

I love those things, but it's a whole 'nother animal. Basic it elminates the phase distortion inherent in louspeakers' abilities to faithfully reproduce sounds. Brings added depth and clarity. If you want a clean boost, get BBE's Boosta Grande.
