BBEAST wiring question

hey all, i think i'm in the right spot...

i'm the 2nd owner of a yamaha BBEAST(nathan east sig model), love everything about it, but lately at louder volumes sound cuts out.

I opened up back to check out wiring to see if anything stood out(i'm not familiar with this stuff). I did see a black wire that was not connected to anything. It appears that it was connected to the input jack, since it looks like a 2nd wire was connected to the post with another black wire. I could be way off which is why i'm here.

I love the bass & tones i get out of it so i'd rather not have to put new electronics in it since playing this bass "feels like i'm at home" I did see other postings about replacing electronics, etc...

i emailed yamaha support to see if they had wiring diagram...waiting for reply.

Any help much appreciated
thanks in advance
