Beatle fans: rejoice, and rejoice again!

Two outstanding new releases to get - one a book, the other music.

First, if you're a reader be sure to pick up Robert Rodriguez' new book, Revolver: How the Beatles Reimagined Rock'n'Roll. This is a fantastic account of the creation of this incredible album. Rodriguez manages to provide a wealth of detail while putting everything in context, mining for information which allows for fascinating connections. So not just information, but insight, and highly readable.

Second, iTunes is going to be releasing the Yellow Submarine Songtrack album on June 5. This was a CD first put out in '99 consisting of remastered and remixed versions of the songs from the movie. The exciting thing to me about the release is that the killer remix version of Hey Bulldog will become available again (I used to have the CD, and haven't wanted to pay for another copy of the whole CD on Ebay when all I wanted was the one song).
