Beatles remastered

Only have Revolver and Abbey Road so far. Revolver is great, but Abbey Road sounds freakin' amazing. I fired it up through the 250 watt Harman Kardon system in my car, and the drums and bass at the start of "Come Together" blew me away. I plan to add one every week or so for awhile. Past Masters or Sgt. Pepper will be next.

my all time favorite moment in the remastered albums comes in, of all things, Martha My Dear. The moment when Paul sings "...that you and me were meant to be with each other, silly girl..." On "meant" the strings, horns, guitar and bass come together in a ecstatic way. I never noticed how funky the bass line was there: solid, measured but CHUNKY. :bassist: That Rick tone is awesome.

Hey, no need to apologize for Martha My Dear-- it's a highlight of the White Album. I've always loved the way the bass weaves in and around the other instruments in that arrangement -- doubling this here, that there -- and now you can hear all the instruments so much more clearly.

Here's a bass part that I never noticed before... and the harmonies (like the rest of them on Rubber Soul) sound absolutely incredible.

+1 If you dig this song, and the other Harrison tunes, check out the Concert for George DVD. Totally stunning... Ringo, Clapton, Preston, Paul, Keltner, and a zillion other amazing players doing these tunes. Really something.

Yes, I've seen that and it's great. I particularly love Clapton's version of "Beware of Darkness."

+1, I don't think they even had much rehearsal time for that show, but they just nail it!

+1, on that too, great version of one of my favorite Harrison songs.
