anyone seen these? saw a pair at best buy, had a demo with them. seemed to accentuate proper bass response, thought it might work for people who use headphone amps to practice.

or is it just hype? to my ears they sounded pretty clear, with a strong bump in the bass

These headphones are awesome. I use them as practice headphones, studio headphones, and as stage ears. When I listen to music through these, like from my iPod, they open up things in the recording that I have never heard before. Very very impressive. I have never heard a frequency response in a headphone as good as these have. They are also noise canceling, so they will block out the excess noise so you get a true sound reproduction.

haha. I've been thinking about grabbing a new pair of cans for music and gaming and keeping my beyerdynamic bt220s for recording only, I must say these look pretty promising. and knowing monster it'll probably have a lifetime warranty.
I wonder how the earbuds sound? and how much they would cost with Dr.Dre getting a cut. and Monster.

Looking on ebay I'm seeing them buyitnow at around $250, which make them a little more reasonable IMO.

I don't know how the in ears sound, i have never heard them. Call Frank at that company I gave you a link to, he will cut you a good deal. he sold me mine for around $250 actually and they are an authorized Monster dealer. I know if you buy them from ebay from a non-authorized dealer Monster will not give you an warranty on the products. just an FYI
