This one's for my wife, who is an interior designer. She likes to make fun of all of the awful couches, rugs, dirty sheets etc., which seem to be the favorite backdrops for aspiring bass photographers. So let's see the worst you've got. The tackier the better.
Great Idea! LOL. I have two submissions. There first of which is all me:
<assumes snobby voice) Yes, as an artist, I feel that the black bass in black case really highlights, well...pretty much nothing, and really brings out...well, pretty much nothing (except maybe the neck). lol What a pointless shot...and I think I may know why this bass hasn't sold yet!
The next entrys, I think your wife will really like and I have my pop to thank. You see, my dad is an aspiring photographer and he recently shelled out a grand on a pro lighting setup, although he hasn't quite figured out how to use it.
Here is one me and my AC LG5 floating in the void of space, directly in front of a black hole:
(edit)
Me to dad: "Dad, where did my shoulders go?"
Dad to stepmom: "Did you turn on the backlight?"
lol...at least my pants look good in this shot.
And here is one where it's pretty obvious that the backdrop is an un-ironed bed sheet that was pulled from the closet minutes before the "shoot". :
Granted, the backgrounds aren't hideous couches. But, if you know anything about photography, I think you will agree that they qualify as "Beautiful Bass, Horrible Background"!
