Bebensee Almost there!!!!!!!!!!!!!

...and I just saw Bigfoot smoochin' the Loch Ness Monster! :p

Wow...I guess KB is still alive. I love his designs and carvings, but a guy has to build more than one bass every 2 1/2 years for me to really take seriously. He is an outstanding craftsman though. In fact, without a doubt, Ken Benbensee is THE GUY who kickstarted my fascination with high end, hand-crafted bass guitars.

Congrast on your soon-to-be new bass! :hyper:

I laugh at that 2.5 years!!
its been 40 months 41 in september.
3.5 years!
He sais he will probably stop taking orders but who knows there will always be someone out there willing to wait.
I however will stick to the 10-24 month build times that way your tastes cant change 180 degrees!

Looks like it's strung with the wrong scale strings too :p

Just a little more shaping, eh? So that's like, what, 3 more months maybe? :smug:

But yeah, that looks pretty awesome. You should definitely hold on to it, if you end up liking the look/tone/feel, since I can't imagine we'll be seeing (m)any more from him.

I got his full color catalog a couple months ago (along with my knobs), and there's some incredible looking basses in there :D

You have no idea:eek:

It took ken over a week just to apply the finish to my old bass.

Tru oil...sand in...dry in sunlight, Tru oil...sand in...dry in sunlight...ect...

He also polished it to a 1200 grit finish!!! that takes forever.
