Beck "Sexx Laws" Bass Line Question..

Hi Justin!
I don't mean to be a bother or ask boring questions that seem like a waste of time, but I just wanted to know if the Bass transcription to Beck's "Sexx Laws" in Bass Player Magazine is correct or even just close enough to the way you played it on the record. I've been listening to the track over and over, but I cannot make it out all that great so thought why not ask the man himself.
It's a great line too, i just have to learn it!

Hey thank you for writing about this. I'm not 100% certain, but based on the work put into it from BP, I believe the transcription is correct. Someday I should present a slowed-down version of it on video for people.

I mean if it sounds correct to you, that is all I needed to hear so thank you!
By the way, I've learned many bass lines, but I gotta say the bass lines you lay down are really creative and different which is why I respect you. Many bass players have a sound that resembles some other famous bassist, but you don't. Your style is totally you, I mean your able to be yourself or just "Justin" when you play, so I hope I too will be able to be just "Deoindra" when I create a bass line, improvise, etc...
All I'm saying is that I admire that you are able to play bass and create an identity for yourself while doing so, if that makes sense. It took me awhile to learn to that being the "best," is not what a bassist should strive for.
Basically, I just want people to be able to hear me play and know that it's me playing just like when I hear a bass line on a Beck or Macy Gray track and know that it's you, "Justin Meldal Johnson," playing and not someone else.

Thank you Funk$tar, that is high praise for sure! I totally agree with your goal, I think it's cool to have your personality show through your playing to the point that people can actually recognize it. I'm still working on that myself, in fact!
