Been a bit out of the loop for a bit - Amp comparison question

I have been running a Tecamp Puma 900 into my Bergantino cabs - happy with it (lots of power in a little package) - is there anything new that outshines the Puma 900? Just soliciting opinions. Thanks!

Not sure what you like, but I can suggest a head worth checking out: the Mesa 800 series. Great light weight head with a 5 year transferable warranty. There are three models with different features, but they all offer 800 watts at 4 ohms, handle 2 ohm loads, sport a good DI, and have a wide variety of sounds available.

I use mine for many gigs, and even if I use a different head, I bring my Mesa d-800 as a spare. Got it used.

The general consensus is that the newest generation class D speaks with a bit more authority than the previous ones. Most use the same ICE power section. Whether that outshines really is a matter of taste. I moved from a Genz Benz Shuttle 9.0 to a Genzler Magellan 800 and the Genzler strikes me as a significant upgrade.
